About Us
Creative Playschool has been
in operation since 1985, first as a family day care program, and eventually
becoming a center-based program in 1992. Our philosophy is based on having a
home-type environment, so that children will feel safe and comfortable.

Sandra
Stapleton Owner/director: BS in Education - director of
Creative Playschool since 1985. Started doing child care
in her home in order to stay home with her three children, and eventually
turned her home into a center-based facility. Enjoys a special relationship
with each and every child, and tries to be a mentor to the young parents who
entrust their children to the care of Creative Playschool. She and her husband
have owned and operated The Nephew's restaurant in E. Freetown since 1995. She
resides in Lakeville with her husband and three children
Gina Melo Lead Teacher/Assistant Director: Came to
Creative Playschool directly after receiving her
Associates Degree in Child Care (1992). She is much loved by all the children
and brings much creativity and caring to the program.. She resides in Acushnet
with her husband and two children.
Judy Dubois Lead Teacher: Has been employed at
Creative Playschool since 1992. Is extremely active in the community and brings
her expertise to the center. Helps instill a sense of "helping others" in each
and every child. Organizes food drives and Christmas "giving tree" activities
for the less fortunate. The mother of four boys, she resides with her husband
in New Bedford.
Maria Melo Teacher: Has been employed since 1997.
Miss Maria brings much patience and understanding to the center. Has a heart
for kids and the feeling is mutual. Enjoys a good rapport with each and every
child.
